Horse Trailer Floor Replacement Cost Calculator

Pick the material and the floor size, and this gives the typical installed range for a new trailer floor around Ocala. It uses the same per-square-foot numbers as the pricing page, built from a published shop price for deck sections and horse trailer flooring cost guides.

What each answer changes

  • Material sets the rate. Treated wood is the least expensive and the quickest to rot under urine; aluminum is light but corrodes under wet mats; rubber composite costs the most.
  • Size multiplies it. Measure inside, length times width, for just the part being replaced.

What the calculator cannot see

It cannot see the crossmembers. A floor sits on them, and if they are rusted or corroded thin, they get repaired first, as a separate line. Do the checks on soft or spongy trailer floor or aluminum corrosion and white powder before you send it.

Section or whole floor?

If one or two boards are soft and the rest are sound, pick the 32 square foot option: one 4 by 8 foot section runs about $290 plus lumber in published shop prices. If a screwdriver sinks in everywhere, it is the whole floor. See trailer floor replacement and horse trailer repair.

Keeping the new floor

Every maker we cover has a mats-out schedule, from Sundowner’s every sixty days to 4-Star’s every six months. Our post on wood vs aluminum vs rubber composite floors covers how to make the new one last. For running gear, use the bearing and brake calculator.

Estimator

What will a new trailer floor cost?

Measure the floor inside, length times width, then pick the material. The range uses the same per-square-foot prices as the pricing page.

Estimated range Typical Ocala pricing, before anyone visits

Every line is the typical per-square-foot range from the pricing page, times your floor area. Crossmember repair, removing a badly corroded aluminum floor, new rubber mats and any trip charge are separate lines on a real quote. Flooring guides put a typical two-horse wood floor at $600 to $900.

An estimate, not a quote. The firm number comes after we pull the mats and look at the crossmembers, in writing before any work starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do these numbers come from?

From the pricing page. The wood range is built from a published shop price of about $290 labor per 4 by 8 foot section plus lumber, and checks against flooring guides that put a typical two-horse wood floor at $600 to $900. Aluminum adds $3 to $10 per square foot of material; rubber composite is built from guides that put Rumber at $1,000 to $2,000 per trailer.

How do I measure my floor?

Inside the trailer, measure the length of the floor you want replaced and the width wall to wall, and multiply. If only the horse area is bad, measure only that. Pick the size closest to your number.

Do I have to give an email?

No. The range updates as you change the options, and sending it to the quote form is optional.
